Windows 10 Mail and Calendar

As Microsoft expanded its consumer Microsoft 365 strategy and introduced a new generation of Windows devices, the Windows 10 Mail and Calendar apps required more than a technical rewrite—they needed a modern product foundation capable of supporting faster innovation, richer experimentation, and a more cohesive customer experience.

The migration from XAML to React Native created an opportunity to rethink the product from the ground up. Rather than simply recreating existing functionality, my team focused on defining a flexible experience framework centered on personalization, customization, and consistency with the evolving Outlook ecosystem.

As Product Design Manager, I led the overall product experience strategy and established the foundational interaction model that guided the work of a talented multidisciplinary design team. Working closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Research, we created a scalable framework that enabled parallel feature development while maintaining a cohesive customer experience.

The concepts shown here represent late-stage explorations of the Calendar experience developed during the product's evolution. The Mail experience remains confidential.
